Middlesbrough Food Power is working to tackle the rising level of food insecurity across Middlesbrough, by supporting people with effective advice, useful skills and a strong support network. Creating an easy sign posting tool and confidence throughout organisations and individuals wanting to make a change throughout Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough Food Power in taking a town wide approach linking with a variety of different organisations from council to grass roots to try to provide a strong action plan to improve the residents of Middlesbrough’s lives through:

• Access to healthy local food
• Improving education with cooking groups and growing courses
• Maximising personal income
• Providing the relevant support and advice through signposting
• Providing easy access to low cost fresh food
