These walks are offered by Middlesbrough Environment City and are not part of the Walking for Health scheme. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear to suit the walk description, as some venues are exposed to the weather and some paths may be muddy and/or rough tracks.

This walk meets at the Poplar Tree Garden Centre in Shincliffe Village at around 10:30am, for a walk into Durham, time in Durham itself, and a walk back to Shincliffe. The flat walk into Durham will be between 45 minutes to 1¼ hours, followed by 2 hours of free time in Durham. There will then be a 45 minute walk back to Shincliffe. There is free parking in the Garden Centre car park.
