The Green Hub

The Green Hub is a brand new initiative from ourselves to provide a central point in the center of Middlesbrough to offer our various services, information, help and more, as well as a permanent fixture for our ever-popular Eco Shop. Running from Monday to Friday, 10am to 3.30pm (With a half hour closure from 1pm to 1.30pm for lunch), the Green Hub provides a central space for all of our projects, with one project each day hosting the Green Hub, including an Eco Shop on Wednesday.

Location

The Green Hub is located within the unit that housed the Middlesbrough Cycle Centre, which is now permanently closed. The address is:

4 Middlesbrough Bus Station, Middlesbrough, TS1 5EA (entrance opposite the Hill Street Centre)

Schedule

Our Breastfeeding Welcome private space.

Breastfeeding Welcome

Our Green Hub is registered as a Breastfeeding Welcome space. Coordinated by the NCT and developed on behalf of the Breastfeeding Manifesto Coalition, the Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme essentially designates a public space as accepting breastfeeding in any public area of the venue (Even though mothers have a right to breastfeed anywhere) and ensures that the venue will not ask a breastfeeding mother to move on or otherwise allow.

In the Green Hub, we do have a private space set aside to allow for some comfort and privacy for breastfeeding. Our staff are aware of how to implement our breastfeeding policy, and we have a welcoming atmosphere to those who wish to use our Green Hub as a breastfeeding space.
