The U3A Walking Group is a walking group dedicated to walking under five miles. These walks are led by Voluntary Walk Leaders, on well-defined paths and following a set journey which makes it absolutely perfect for those looking to get out and about without subjecting themselves to a longer walk. All walks also take part on well-defined paths.

Meet 9.50 am at Toft House for registration and car share to Thornaby Town Centre for a lovely walk to the site of the medieval village of Stainsby which dates back to Viking times in the 7th/8th Century. Refreshments afterwards in The Brewhouse. The walk is expected to be about four miles.
