Town Meal

This year’s Town Meal takes place on Saturday 14th September, from 12pm to 4pm in Centre Square, Middlesbrough between the Town Hall and MIMA.

The Town Meal is a celebration of the growing projects that have run throughout the year, with community groups and individual families reaping the rewards of growing their own fruit and vegetables in locations across the town. Donations of this produce go towards the Town Meal which is cooked by school cooking staff from Middlesbrough schools. The meal is free to all who attend.

Shopmobility at Middlesbrough Cycle Centre

Located in the Bus Station in the centre of town, Shopmobility at Middlesbrough Cycle Centre loans scooters, manual wheelchairs and walkers to people with mobility needs. This enables them to do their shopping independently or to use other town centre facilities within catchment area of the scheme.

Bike Library

The Project

Middlesbrough Bike Library is a free to use Bike loan service.

Located within Middlesbrough Cycle Centre the bikes can be loaned free of charge and be used to partake in a range of activities to promote healthy living, social inclusion and to have fun! Activities include: guided rides in the local community, basic bike skills and maintenance courses. They can also be used to give the freedom to ride with family and friends and for commuting purposes.
