Welcome to
MIDDLESBROUGH Environment City
We are Middlesbrough Environment City (Often abbreviated to MEC or MEnvCity), a charity dedicated to promoting healthy and sustainable living using the ten principles of One Planet Living. We work extensively in and around the Tees Valley to support healthy lifestyles and create sustainable change through community action and events. We also run numerous events across the calendar year.
Our ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life for our community, through sustainability and the promotion of healthy living, whilst reducing the impact on Earth’s resources. After all, there is no other home waiting for us: If we can save the planet while helping the community, we will gladly do so!

Latest News
As we slowly approach the end of April (Yes, that's right, the first quarter of 2024 is almost over.), Communities Growing Together continues to grow from strength to strength with an array of events across the month.
A lot of our events are proving quite popular and some are sold out: For example, our Seasonal Cookery lessons are down to their last 1 or 2 places already! However, there will be more of those in the future, so keep an eye out for them.
As always, for more information on the project in general, please contact David.Scriven@menvcity.org.uk.
